No doubt this book gets five stars from me. This is the second book in the, "Christian's Coven", series, and it was riveting. Jimmy and Eli are best friends and one special vampire realizes that Jimmy is his mate. Together they go through hurdle after hurdle together. I was laughing out loud when Jimmy saw Christian turn into his natural form. Jimmy said that he'd rather come up against Satan, :D but Christian's mates find him to be sexy like that, to Jimmy's shock. :) It's also cute how one of Christian's mates still likes to drink milk even though he's a turned vampire now. That's adorable. Other vampires cringe as he drinks his glass of milk. Anyway, there are ghouls in this story and poor Eli and Jimmy go through so much. Eli also gets attacked by an Elder gone bad and is power hungry. At the end we find out who Eli's mate is. That was awesome. I was totally engaged in this story, and as usual I can't wait to read the next one, which is, "Eli's Way". I hope he doesn't resist his mate too much because I kind of hate that but I'm sure that it will still be just as gripping as this book was. :)

Another great book from Lynn Hagen I'm sorry I didn't leave a review the first time I read it but I didn't know about reviews when I read it the first time like I said great book in this series...
Great story only thing I don't like about this vampire series is the author follows the whole myth that vampires can't come into the sun and has to only drink blood would have preferred more changes to that myth in the story
Very good, and very well put together, The family thing, is very well constructed, and the twists in the stories, are put together, quite well to, And the mystery of what really went on in Mallon's Place, is still up in the air. I don't think the Prince really allowed him to just disappear, Do You????
This was a good book. It was definitely different. And when you have an ongoing series like this, the books tend to start reading the same. That's not so with this one. We learn a bit more about Christian, and his powers in this one and something surprising happens in reference to that. I enjoyed the drama, the romance, and even the conflict in this installment. It is awesome to come across a series like this one, and when you have books written like this one it makes it so super easy to keep buying more and more. Awesome!!
I love Lynn Hagen's books, and go back and read them often. This one is a perfect example of something that created a genre. So original, so undefined by societal expectations, and so pulp-fiction. These books are amazing. She writes outside the structures of class and boundaries. This book and "Eli's Way", Eli's Way [Christian's Coven 3] (Siren Publishing Everlasting Classic ManLove)the following book, are some of her best.
